The Artemis Charitable Foundation invites you to participate in the 2nd annual Sippin’ with Style event! Sippin’ with Style is much more than a fundraiser but a gathering that celebrates Canadian art and the must- have seasonal fashion trends from local boutiques. New additions to the fundraiser include a live art painting by local illustrator Dean Stanton, best known for his colourful and whimsical drawings and large-scale murals as well as music. Funds raised will go to the Highbanks Society to support affordable housing and a nurturing community where young families can learn and grow. With an established Housing First model that addresses the need for long-term, safe and affordable housing, they seek to provide security, stability and eliminate a barrier to growth.

Dean Stanton, a native Calgarian, graduated from the Alberta College of Art & Design in 1990, and began a career as an illustrator, painter, graphic designer and astrophysicist. okay, not the last one, but he has done just about anything you can think of. Dean works in traditional and digital media, in 2 or 3 dimensions, and has been pleasing the eyeballs of Calgarians and humans abroad for 20 years. Sadly, Dean’s plans for world domination cannot be stopped. Happy collectors can be found across Canada, the US, Germany, Australia, England and Japan. All systems go.
Dean Stanton, 42, is a local illustrator most known for his colourful and whimsical drawings and large-scale murals — namely, the iconic Sunalta School mural that greeted commuters on Crowchild Trail. It was Stanton’s first big project after he graduated from the Alberta College of Art + Design and he’s since done community murals in Erin Woods, Montgomery and Cochrane. He also does graphic design, corporate commissions and pieces for charities.
